ABOUT

Photography has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. Growing up I’d spend hours out in the pasture with my camera, seeing what cow would pose for me to get that perfect shot. That time I spent out in the pasture in different lighting is where I really taught myself how to take quality pictures and use my camera. I’ve found my style and have grown to love being behind the camera. My goal is to always capture moments that will be cherished for years to come. I’d like to think my pictures and editing style are timeless; I’m not one to hop on the next editing trend and I like my pictures to look pretty darn close to how they do the moment I click the shutter button. I’m so appreciative to my friends and family who’ve let me practice taking their pictures over the years – some of those images turned out to be a real doozy, but that’s how I learned!

A few of my favorites...

Chase – my better half

Reba – Boone's best bud

Boone – my best bud & soul dog

It was the winter of 2015 and we were getting a pretty good winter storm at home. We opened the barn up so the cows could get to some extra cover, and I happened to have my camera out with me. I still had no idea how to shoot manual at that point in time (nor did I really even know that was a thing). I noticed Roomer, a former show heifer, and knew I had to get some pictures of her. She stood perfectly still for me and I snapped away. I entered this photograph as my photography project that year in 4-H, and I earned my first (and only) grand champion – all thanks to Roomer. While Roomer isn't on the farm anymore and I've since upgraded cameras, this picture will always hold a special place in my heart. No fancy camera, no fancy cow, and no fancy barn. But a pretty fancy picture, if you ask me.
